Hello,

anyone familiar with Corsair Vengeance K95 or Corsair Vengeance K70 keyboards?
are they good? from reviews i see really good scores.

the problem is i know its mechanical keyboards. so i guess they are loud... my concern is how loud can it be ?

also while the cost difference doesnt concern me between K70 and K95 i see in their site that the K70 is intended for FPS and K95 for RTS and WOW type games. so should i get K95 anyway?
i guess that the whole difference between game types that the K95 has more buttons on the side.

i currently use Logitech g110 keyboard and the extra keys are extremly useless for me (never used them)

If you dont use the extra buttons then there is no need to have them. Just go with the k70. There is no difference in quality afaik. Just the extra buttons and macros.. as for the "optimization" for a genre.. thats bullshit. Especially gamer mice. With fps mice which left button is more durable than a mmo mouses one.. bullshit. You spam left click in mmos more than in fps.
Just buy the k70. Theres no need to have a bunch of waste-of-space keys

yeah but the thing is, that at local stores we have only K95 and K70, and strangely the price is the same!!!
so i dont know what to do, either buy the newer one that have "waste-of-space" keys or buy the old one but at the same price

prices (converted to Pounds)
k95 price 121.48 british pound
k70 price 118.18 british pound

SJ TO THE RESCUE!

If the prices were massively different i'd say go for the K70, but seeing as there's like £2 in it, i'd just get the K95. Even if you don't use the macro keys, they're there if you ever need them for anything. Other than those keys, they're the exact same keyboard.

A disappointingly simple response. I expected better.

I've always preferred blue switches over red ones, but that's just me, seeing as you wanted a quiet one the reds were probably your best option

The keys actuate halfway down the keypress, so you can effectively float over the keys once you get used to it
