I really need to get a new headset. My G930 is good but I feel like it is falling off my head all the time. Yeah i have quite a small head. Also it is pretty heavy. I can feel my neck getting sore after a few hours of gaming and I can't take any more of it, plus the headband is pretty small so I can feel it digging into my head which also gets on my nerves.

So basically I am looking for a a 7.1 surround headset that would be good for a small head, is lightweight enough with good padding. Digital or analog doesn't matter. I don't have a separate sound card though.

Also I have got a Razer Naga Hex mouse which I do like. I like the 6 buttons on the side which is handy for different things. Well tbh I only use about 4 of them. But I am not to keen on the roundness of the mouse. Its nice and small for my small hands. I actually prefered the shape of my G9X when I had it.

So a mouse which is nice and comfortable. Has similar features to the Naga hex. Minimum of 4 buttons on the side but not like 10 as I wouldn't use them.

Max of about £80 to spend on the headset and £40 on a mouse.

I'm personally not a fan of the RAT mice, but there's people in the clan who swear by them (ie Geordie).

And even though this isn't 7.1, it's basically the wired version of my headset which is comfy as a motherfucker once you've burned the ear pads in, and the sound quality is great for a "gaming" labelled headset, as it uses the same speaker drivers.

Why have a 7.1 headset? Its the most useless thing I can ever imagine. You will not hear any difference whatsoever compared to a 5.1 headset.
You have 2 ears. Either right, or left. Having multiple speakers in your headset wont make a difference because the distance is too small for your ear to notice..

Agreed. 5.1 is a joke. 7.1 is more of a joke. Headphones are a 2.0 system. If you want surround go buy yourself some speakers and set them up properly.

You do hear a slight difference from a 5.1 and a 7.1 as I have owned both. I have a full 1000w 5.1 speaker system but I would need to turn it up mega to actually hear anything decent. Plus I don't have a mic hence why I need a headset. My speakers are also in my livingroom where my PC is in its own room along with Rachels PC so speakers are out of the questions as she plays the PC as well. She gets annoyed even when I have my PC speakers on when she is trying to play and they are only 30w 2.1

Ah yeah SJ not to keen on the look of the RAT. Looks a comfy mouse but I don't like the actual design of them.

Have been looking on Scan and found these mice.

Completely disagree. 5.1 headsets work perfectly fine if they have been set up correctly and will aid you in gaming.

If you only need that many buttons on the side look at the hyperion fury mouse from logitech, i've just got the G502 and the 402 is supposed to be ridiculously well build

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-G402-Hy...erion+fury

Cheaper than the other two with delivery too.

Just really looking for a mouse with 3 side buttons that are programmable.

I'm not really bothered about if the headset is 5.1 or 7.1. You could get a better sounding 5.1 than a 7.1. I am just looking for something that is a nice fit, comfy, good padding, and more lightweight to what I have.

SJ that is a nice looking mouse.

Of course there is a difference between a 2.0/.1 SPEAKER setup and a 5.1 or even 7.1 SPEAKER setup. The distance makes you actually hear directional sound. This does not translate to headsets though because the distance is too small for your ear to notice and the sound is not actually coming from behind you, it might be ~ 5mm difference from your "normal" left speaker
