Hey,

I'm after a new mouse, I want something with a couple of side buttons on, but not to the extreme like the naga. I like my current mouse which is a razer abyssus and want something fairly similar to that but just updated with 2-3 buttons my thumb can use.

I'm looking at a deathadder atm but want to feel it in my hand before I actually purchase it. Are there any stores that have mice you can feel similar to how phoneshops have phones out to feel? I'm thinking pc world as they have the mouse I'm looking at getting but don't know if they let you touch/hold mice to feel the comfort levels.

Finally, yes I'm aware I've just listed razer products and a lot of people like to bash on them, but the reason I like using razer products so much is they are very light and fit my small little girly hands (sorry kermz, big hairy sweedish hands) very well. So feel free to argue about razer products but can we sort my issue of wanting to feel mice before buying them first.

Much love
Jess

Jess, go to a pcworld/Curry's and just ask to feel one. They shouldn't have an issue, I normally do allow it. Its people who just open them without asking that I get annoyed with.

I used to have the mamba 2012 and it's very similar to the death adder. I'll say this, if you palm the mouse more than anything else, it was really comfy even with my small girly hands. However if you claw grip I'd have a look at something like an ambidextrous mouse.

As far as performance was concerned, afaik the death adder uses the same sensor as the mamba did which I never had a problem with. I used it at 1600, 800 and 400 DPI. The lower the sens got however the less comfy I found it, but iirc you use a pathetically small pad anyway.

Yeah my pads like...5 inches wide lol, so I have higher sensitivity and DPI than you. Performance isn't really a massive thing to me, its all the numbers and shizzle that I hardly ever change or care about...

The feel and weight are the most important things to me by far. I don't really know what grip I use, I sort of combine palm and claw so this is why I want to feel a mouse before buying it.

Thanks guys, m00se I don't actually intend to buy it from pc world as I can get it cheaper elsewhere but just put up the illusion, I'm interested in this mouse, could i test it, blah blah, gimme a minute to think about it, sneak out of the shop, etc etc, one assumes =P

By performance I meant more how well it handled different mouse pads, whether I could throw it around quickly or not etc.

The only gripe I suppose I had was the feet on the mouse, the ones at the front were really little and gathered gunk quickly and it felt weird when using until I cleaned it out again.

Generally happened with a hard pad instead of the soft pad :p

Zowie fk1. Boom. Easiest to set up, perfect sensor, rather small - optimized for claw grip but small hands can even use it differently. Same for left and right hand, nice and reactive click, mousewheel has flaws but its better than the fk 2014. Best mouse ive ever used hands down. Plus has two thumb buttons.

Lol, the PC world guy suggested the madcats RAT range, I looked at them and those things aren't mice, they're squares glued together to look like a mouse...

If you people think the RAT is ugly, and the other copy/paste mice are cool, you are as backwards as I have always accused you of being.

The rat mice are retarded, their build quality is shit, the sensors are shit, the software is shit, and they're the most uncomfortable pieces of turd I've ever held

Purlease, your taste is shit! Ive held that plastic mouse you just bought, its build is 100000000 times worse. Its just the exact same boring ass mouse as every other manufacturers, with a logitech logo and a slight decimal difference on stats for you spec whores. If you broke your mouse with your elephant hands and couldn't figure out the incredibly simple software, that's your deal.

Usually SJ is a complete twat, but I agree with him on this, I held the rat thing in the store and it was so uncomfortable. I don't know or care about stats all that much I'm going for comfort.

You probably need an ergo-style mouse or something. Claw, or palm grip?

I'm assuming you own one of those half completed Meccano structures by your passionate defence?
